The forecasters sure were right about yesterday. The temperature was in the 90s. Radio reported a reading of 92° when I left the office.
Not much cooling was expected overnight. The forecasters said our low would be 72°. It was 69° when I woke up.
The forecasters say temperatures will be cooler over the next week — with cooler being a relative term. Highs won't be in the 80s and lows won't be in the 70s. They will be a bit lower than that — but not for long, I'm sure. After all, we're more than one–third of the way through May.
This morning's meter reading is between 30676 and 30677. Yesterday's reading was 30659. Consumption was 17½ kWh.
