March 31, 2015

It was mostly overcast yesterday, and I think the temperature stayed in the 70s. Forecasters are saying it will reach 80° today.

Last night's low was predicted to be 62°. It was 68° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23270. Yesterday's reading was between 23263 and 23264. My consumption was 6½ kWh.

March 30, 2015

Forecasters told us to expect temperatures in the low 80s yesterday — it was 84° around 5 p.m.

We expect 70s most days this week with a steadily increasing possibility — but not probability — of showers.

The lows are expected to be quite mild — around 60° until a cool front comes through the area late in the week. It was 62° when I woke up this morning.

This morning's meter reading is between 23263 and 23264. Yesterday's reading was 23254. My consumption was 9½ kWh.

March 29, 2015

Yesterday was a very springlike day, once the sun came out and warmed things up. I'm pretty sure we were in the 80s for awhile yesterday afternoon.

The overnight low was expected to be in the upper 50s, maybe lower 60s. It is Sunday morning so I slept later than usual. Anyway, it was 58° when I woke up.

Even though I am up later than usual, my consumption hasn't been bad in the last 24 hours. This morning's meter reading is 23254. Yesterday's reading was 23247. My consumption since yesterday morning has been 7 kWh.

Saturday, March 28, 2015

March 28, 2015

It was sunny and cool yesterday. It probably warmed up to around 70° at some point and may have stayed there for awhile, but, for the most part, it was in the 60s.

Last night's low was expected to be 48°. It was 50° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23247. Yesterday's reading was 23242. Consequently, my consumption in the last 24 hours was 5 kWh.

Friday, March 27, 2015

March 27, 2015

It was cooler yesterday than it has been, but I don't know if it was 20 degrees cooler, as the forecasters had suggested. Nevertheless, it is beyond dispute that, while it had been in the 80s recently, yesterday's high was in the upper 60s, maybe the lower 70s.

Last night was expected to be around 53°. It was 49° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23242. Yesterday's reading was between 23232 and 23233. My consumption in the last 24 hours was 9½ kWh.

Thursday, March 26, 2015

March 26, 2015

Yesterday was another warm day with temperatures in the low 80s. It was mostly a sunny day. We may have another sunny (if windy) day today, but a cool front moved through the area last night, and the temperature should be about 20 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday.

Last night's low was expected to be in the low 50s. The temperature was 53° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 23232 and 23233. Yesterday's reading was 23226. My consumption was 6½ kWh.

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

March 25, 2015

Yesterday was sunny and warm with a temperature that at least got to 75°. That was the temperature when I got in my car to drive home. They say it will be even warmer today — mid–80s

Last night's low was expected to be 59°. It was 60° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23218. Yesterday's reading was 23212. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 6 kWh.

Monday, March 23, 2015

March 23, 2015

If we didn't reach 70° yesterday, we came awfully close. And the sun came out in the afternoon so, even if we didn't reach 70°, it felt like it did.

The forecasters say we'll be in the 70s for the next three days — possibly the 80s on Tuesday — then it will cool off late in the week.

Last night's low was expected to be 49°. It was 53° when I woke up. The lows should be warmer for the next few nights.

This morning's meter reading is 23212. Yesterday's reading was 23203. My consumption in the last 24 hours was 9 kWh.

Sunday, March 22, 2015

March 22, 2015

Saturday was overcast and drizzly — and seemed to be colder than it has been recently. Personally, I thought it was in the 50s most of the day although it may have reached 60° at some point.

Last night's low was supposed to be in the low 50s. It was 53° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23203. Yesterday's reading was between 23195 and 23196. My consumption was 7½ kWh in the last 24 hours.

Saturday, March 21, 2015

March 21, 2015

Yesterday was mostly rainy and overcast, but the temperature managed to get into the 60s (probably not the 70s, though) — for awhile, anyway.

Last night, the low was expected to be in the 50s. It was 56° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 23195 and 23196. Yesterday's reading appeared to be between 23189 and 23190. Thus, my consumption in the last 24 hours was 6 kWh.

Friday, March 20, 2015

March 20, 2015

It was overcast most of the day, but I don't think we got any rain. It was in the low 70s when I left the office.

Last night's low was expected to be 60°. It was 57° when I woke up.

It is overcast and drizzly this morning, which always affects the quality of my photos, but the reading appears to be between 23189 and 23190. Yesterday's reading appeared to be 23184. My consumption probably has been 5½ kWh.

Thursday, March 19, 2015

March 19, 2015

Conditions were cooler, drizzly and overcast yesterday. I doubt that the temperature reached 70° — although it may have, briefly. Forecasters are now saying it will be 74° here today.

Last night's low was expected to be in the 50s. It was 62° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading appears to be 23184. Yesterday's reading was between 23177 and 23178. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 6½ kWh.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

March 18, 2015

We did more than flirt with 80° yesterday. We shot past it to 81°, maybe 82°, for a time yesterday afternoon. By the time I left the office, the temperature was back in the upper 70s.

A cool front is supposed to move into the area today along with some rain. Forecasters see nothing but 60s for us for the next week.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 50s. It was 59° when I woke up.

It is overcast and a little drizzly this morning, and it affected the quality of my photo, but my meter reading appears to be between 23177 and 23178. Yesterday's reading was between 23170 and 23171. That would make my consumption in the last 24 hours 7 kWh.

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

March 17, 2015

Considering how cold it was around here just last week, it was amazingly warm here yesteday. We flirted with 80° before the temperature finally settled into the upper 70s.

They say we will be back in the upper 70s today, but then we return to the 60s tomorrow, and that is what we can expect during the day for at least the next week.

Last night's low was supposed to be 60°. It was 65° when I woke up.

This morning's reading is between 23170 and 23171. Yesterday's reading was 23164. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 6½ kWh.

It was 52° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23164. Yesterday's reading was between 23145 and 23146. My consumption was 18½ kWh.

Sunday, March 15, 2015

March 15, 2015

I'm not sure what yesterday's high temperature was. It was expected to be in the 60s, but I think it was in the 50s every time I went outside. It felt like it, anyway. It was overcast and drizzly all day. I don't recall seeing the sun yesterday, and I am skeptical of seeing it today.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 40s or low 50s. It was 56° when I woke up.

Yesterday's meter reading was between 23145 and 23146. This morning's reading is 23157. Consumption was 11½ kWh. That's nearly double what it has been so I figure it must have been colder than expected yesterday.

Saturday, March 14, 2015

March 14, 2015

It was overcast and drizzly most of the day yesterday, but the temperature still got into the 60s. The outlook is for a springlike weekend and even warmer temperatures next week.

Last night's low was expected to be 55°. I think it got colder than that last night, but it was 57° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 23145 and 23146. Yesterday's reading appeared to be 23139. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 6½ kWh.

Friday, March 13, 2015

March 13, 2015

It was probably a few degrees cooler yesterday than it was the day before, but the temperature got into the upper 60s, and the forecast for warm temperatures is still in effect for the next seven days.

Last night's low was expected to be around 50°. It was 55° when I woke up.

It is overcast and drizzly this morning, and my picture didn't turn out very well, but I believe it reads 23139. Yesterday's reading was 23133. That means that, for the second straight day, my consumption was 6 kWh.

Thursday, March 12, 2015

March 12, 2015

Yesterday was much warmer with a high in the upper 60s, possibly even reaching 70°. It should be cooler than that today, but highs for the next week or so are expected to be in at least the 60s and nighttime lows should be around 50°.

Last night's low was predicted to be around 50°. It was 54° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 23133. Yesterday's reading appeared to be 23127. My consumption in the last 24 hours was 6 kWh.

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

March 11, 2015

It remained overcast all day yesterday, but the temperature did make it to 60°. It is supposed to get close to 70° today, and the sun may actually break through the clouds.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 40s. It was 49° when I woke up.

It isn't easy to read this morning's meter — I assume it will get easier as it gets lighter at this time of day. It appears to be 23127. Sunday's reading was 23049. If I am correct, I have averaged 26 kWh per day for the last three days.

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

March 10, 2015

Yesterday was another cold, wet day with temperatures in the lower 50s and a fairly persistent rain.

Today, though, it is supposed to be warmer, and it is expected to mostly stay that way for the rest of the week with temperatures in the 60s, possibly even lower 70s during the days.

Nighttime lows are expected to be in the upper 40s, maybe low 50s at night. This morning, the temperature was 50° when I woke up.

It's overcast and dark this morning. With the time change, it may be awhile before I can take meter photos on weekday mornings. Whatever the situation proves to be, I've decided that it just isn't in the cards today. Sunday's reading was 23049. I'll try again in the morning.

Monday, March 9, 2015

March 9, 2015

Saturday was very pleasant with highs in the upper 60s and sunny skies. But yesterday was about 15–20 degrees cooler with intermittent rain.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 40s. It was 48° when I woke up.

It is overcast and rainy this morning. As a result, I can't really tell if it is as dark as it is because of the time change or the weather. I suppose I will find out tomorrow. In any event, it is too dark today to photograph my meter.

Yesterday's meter reading was 23049.

Sunday, March 8, 2015

March 8, 2015

The temperature got into the 60s yesterday, and the sun came out. It was nicer than today or tomorrow promise to be. The forecast for the next couple of days calls for overcast and drizzly with temperatures in the 50s.

A low in the 40s was expected last night. The temperature was 48° when I got up.

This morning's meter reading is 23049. Yesterday's reading was 23029. My consumption in the last 24 hours was only 20 kWh.

Saturday, March 7, 2015

March 7, 2015

The temperature was warmer yesterday — in the upper 50s when I left the office — and the sun was shining most of the day. There were some slick spots when I drove to work in the morning, but they were long gone by the time I drove home.

Last night's low was expected to be around freezing, I think. It was probably around 33° or 34° when I first woke up — but, today being Saturday and the last day before we go to daylight saving time, I slept in so it was probably closer to 40° when I got out of bed.

A warming trend is in the forecast after we go through a rainy spell tomorrow.

This morning's meter reading is 23029. Yesterday's reading was between 22979 and 22980 so my consumption was 49½ kWh.

Friday, March 6, 2015

March 6, 2015

The temperature rose into the 40s yesterday, and most of the ice and snow melted off. As usual, my stairs are the last to clear, but traffic was virtually unaffected late in the day.

The low last night was expected to be in the 20s again. It was 26° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 22979 and 22980. Wednesday's reading was between 22833 and 22834. Consumption over the last two frigid days has averaged 73 kWh per day.

Thursday, March 5, 2015

March 5, 2015

We got rain all day yesterday, which turned to freezing rain, sleet and, eventually, snow overnight. The temperature dropped steadily from about 52° in the morning to 32° around 5 p.m.

Then it plunged into the 20s overnight. I don't know what the temperature was when I got up — probably around 25°.

It is too icy to make my way to the meter this morning. Hopefully, I will be able to resume that tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Yesterday's meter reading was between 22833 and 22834.

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

March 4, 2015

It was overcast and drizzly all day yesterday, but the temperature did get into the low 50s in the afternoon. I'm pretty sure it never made it to 60° as predicted.

Rain is expected here this morning, then rain, freezing rain and sleet in the afternoon as the temperature steadily drops to freezing, perhaps a little lower, by 5 p.m.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 40s. It was 53° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 22833 and 22834. Yesterday's reading was 22807. My consumption in the last 24 hours was 26½ kWh.

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

March 3, 2015

Yesterday was cold and damp. Temperature probably didn't get much above 40°. Today is supposed to be wet as well — but it should be much warmer. In the 60s, so they say.

Not much fluctuation was expected last night. They said the temperature would be in the low 40s. It was 43° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 22807. Yesterday's reading was between 22761 and 22762. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 45½ kWh.

Monday, March 2, 2015

March 2, 2015

It remained cold and drizzly yesterday — although not quite as cold nor as drizzly as it has been. And, if the forecasts can be believed, we won't dip below freezing again until later this week.

Last night's low was expected to be just above freezing. It was 35° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 22761 and 22762. Yesterday's reading was 22696. Consumption in the last 24 hours was 65½ kWh.

Sunday, March 1, 2015

March 1, 2015

Yesterday was cold and wet, with freezing drizzle in the morning and plain old ordinary cold rain in the afternoon. I don't know what the high temperature was, but it couldn't have been much above freezing.

Little temperature variation was expected overnight. The low was supposed to be around freezing; it was 33° when I woke up, and most of the residual snow/ice had melted away by the time it was light enough outside to see.

This morning's meter reading is 22696. Friday's reading was 22530 so my daily consumption for the last two days has averaged 83 kWh. I'll be glad when the weather gets warmer — but not when it gets hot.
