February 29, 2016

Sunday was another warm, sunny day, very un–February–like. I don't know what the final high was, but I know the temperature was in the mid–70s.

Last night's low was expected to be 55°. The temperature was 53° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29976. Yesterday's reading was 29968. Consumption was 8 kWh.

February 28, 2016

Yesterday was a sunny day with temperatures in the 70s. Very pleasant for the next–to–last day of February.

Last night's low was supposed to be in the 50s, and it was 56° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29968. Yesterday's reading was 29959. Consumption was 9 kWh.

February 27, 2016

Yesterday was another mild day, not as warm as it has been but certainly not as cool as it has been lately. It was in the low 60s when I left the office, and forecasters say this weekend will see temperatures in the 70s.

Last night's low was expected to be in the 40s. It was 46° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29959. Yesterday's reading was 29952. Consumption was 7 kWh.

February 26, 2016

The temperature was in the upper 50s when I left the office yesterday. Forecasters say we will be in the low 60s today, then in the 70s for the next three or four days.

We dropped back into the 30s last night. The temperature was 38° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29952. Yesterday's reading was 29942. Consumption was 10 kWh.

Thursday, February 25, 2016

February 25, 2016

The temperature got into the upper 50s as expected yesterday. It was around 59° when I left the office. It was a windy day, but the sun was out, which was an improvement over the day before.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 30s. It was 42° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29942. Yesterday's reading was between 29934 and 29935. Consumption was 7½ kWh.

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

February 24, 2016

The temperatures plunged yesterday, bringing an off–and–on rain that moved out of the area overnight. The temperature was 42° when I left the office.

Last night's low was expected to drop into the upper 30s. It was 42° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 29934 and 29935. Yesterday's reading was 29903. Consumption was 31½ kWh.

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

February 23, 2016

The temperature was 60° when I left the office yesterday. Today should be colder with rain.

Last night's low was expected to be in the 40s. It was 52° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29903. Yesterday's reading was 29896. Consumption was 7 kWh.

February 22, 2016

I think the temperature was mostly in the 70s yesterday, but the sky was overcast and we even got some drizzly rain late in the day. Forecasts call for more rain in the next couple of days with daytime highs in the 50s, then the skies will clear and temperatures will rise in the second half of the week.

Last night's low was expected to be around 50°. It was 53° when I woke up. They say we can expect low 40s and upper 30s at night the rest of this week.

This morning's meter reading is 29896. Yesterday's reading was 29882. Consumption was 14 kWh.

Sunday, February 21, 2016

February 21, 2016

Yesterday's temperature rose into the upper 70s, and there was some humidity so it felt like a spring day in Texas. That apparently will be ending soon.

Last night's low was expected to be in the low 60s. It was 64° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29882. Yesterday's reading was 29873. Consumption was 9 kWh.

February 20, 2016

When I left the office yesterday, the radio reported a temperature of 77°. But this unseasonable streak apparently is doomed to end shortly. (Well, I know it will end eventually. But local forecasts are more specific than that.) Although forecasters say we can expect 70s this weekend, rain and cooler temperatures are in the forecast for tomorrow, and then 50s and 60s are predicted for next week.

The forecast says the low tonight will be 62°, then it will drop into the 40s and 50s. That's good because, as nice as this early spring is, I can't help thinking we will end up paying for it in the form of an early (and then prolonged) summer.

Anyway, it was 67° when I woke up this morning.

This morning's meter reading is 29873. Yesterday's reading was 29868. Consumption was 5 kWh.

February 19, 2016

Incredible but true. The temperature was 75° when I left the office yesterday — on February 18th. It was windy, though, and more of the same is expected today.

Last night's low was expected to be in the low 50s. It was 62° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29868. Yesterday's reading was 29862. Consumption was 6 kWh.

Thursday, February 18, 2016

February 18, 2016

The temperature was in the low 70s when I left the office yesterday. Even warmer temperatures are expected today and tomorrow, but they are expected to bring pretty strong winds.

Last night's low was expected to be in the low 50s. It was 52° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29862. Yesterday's reading was 29857. Consumption was 5 kWh.

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

February 17, 2016

Yesterday's temperature was in the 70s, but it felt a bit cooler because of the wind. Today's forecast calls for a high around 70° with steadily rising temperatures in the next few days.

Last night's low was expected to be in the 40s. It was 47° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29857. Yesterday's reading was 29849. Consumption was 8 kWh.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

February 16, 2016

The temperature was 69° when I left the office yesterday so my guess is that, at one time or another yesterday afternoon, the temperature hit 70°.

Forecasters say we can expect 70s for the rest of the week — with an apparently real possibility of a temperature of 80° by the end of the week.

Last night's low was expected to be 48°. It was 52° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29849. Yesterday's reading was 29843. Consumption was 6 kWh.

Monday, February 15, 2016

February 15, 2016

We had another mild day yesterday, but it was overcast all day. I don't think we ever had any rain, but the cloud cover kept the temperature a bit lower than it has been. Forecasters say we will be never 70° today, then we should be in the 70s the rest of the week.

Last night's low was supposed to be around 50°. It was 57° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29843. Yesterday's reading was 29833. Consumption was 10 kWh.

Sunday, February 14, 2016

February 14, 2016

The warm weather continues. I am quite certain the temperature got into the 70s yesterday. It is possible that it remained in the 60s, but it was a nice, sunny day. Today is expected to be overcast but warm, with a high around 71°.

I don't know what last night's predicted low was, but I do know it was 60° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29833. Yesterday's reading was 29825. Consumption was 8 kWh.

Saturday, February 13, 2016

February 13, 2016

Forecasters told us yesterday's high would be in the 60s, but the temperature was in the low 70s when I left the office. They insist we will be back in the 60s today and tomorrow. We shall see.

Last night's low was expected to be 41°. Apparently the forecasters were pretty close on that one. It was 42° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29825. Yesterday's reading was 29819. Consumption was 6 kWh.

Friday, February 12, 2016

February 12, 2016

Yesterday was another mild February day. The temperature was in the mid–70s when I left the office — or so the radio reported. It was a sunny day and not too windy, either.

Last night was expected to be a bit chillier than it was the night before. A low of 43° was predicted. It was 45° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29819. Yesterday's reading was 29813. Consumption was 6 kWh.

Sometimes it's hard to believe this is winter.

It isn't so hard for those who live north of us, I'm sure. There have already been winter storms through the Midwest and into New England. Lots of snow. But we have seldom had much in the way of really cold temperatures around here this winter. No ice, no snow. And the forecast for the next seven days looks pleasant as well. Maybe we're going to dodge the bullet this year.

As I was leaving the office yesterday, the temperature was 71°, according to the radio, and it was 60° when I went to bed.

The low was only supposed to be 48° last night. It was 50° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29813. Yesterday's reading was 29807. Consumption was 6 kWh.

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

February 10, 2016

Yesterday was sunny with a temperature in the upper 50s, maybe the low 60s. Forecasters have revised the forecast for today and say we could hit the 70s before the sun goes down, then it will be in the 60s the rest of the week.

Last night's low was supposed to be in the upper 30s. It was 36° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29807. Yesterday's reading was 29795. Consumption was 12 kWh.

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

February 9, 2016

It was a bit cooler yesterday. The temperature was 54° when I left the office, but they say it will be back in the 60s today and possibly in the 70s by Thursday. It was quite windy yesterday, too. We should still have some wind today, but not as much. Hopefully it will die down the farther we go into the week.

Last night's low was expected to be 35°. It was 38° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29795. Yesterday's reading was 29773. Consumption was 22 kWh.

February 8, 2016

Yesterday was an example of what has been normal for us this winter: The temperature rose into the 60s, there was a little wind (but not much, certainly not as much as the forecast calls for today), and the sky was mostly clear. It should be in the 50s today, they say, but then we can expect 60s the rest of the week.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 30s. It was 43° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29773. Yesterday's reading was 29759. Consumption was 14 kWh.

Sunday, February 7, 2016

February 7, 2016

Yesterday's temperature was in the 50s again. It was windy but not gusty like it was earlier last week — and is predicted to be again tomorrow. It was sunny yesterday, too, which is what forecasters have told us to expect this week. No snow or ice on the horizon. In fact, they say we can expect a temperature of about 70° on Thursday.

They told us to expect a low in the mid–30s last night. It was 36° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29759. Yesterday's reading was 29741. Consumption was 18 kWh.

Saturday, February 6, 2016

February 6, 2016

I spent most of yesterday inside, but those who went outside at any point during the day told me it was mild for February. The temperature was in the 50s, and the sun was shining. Most importantly, I suppose, there was little wind, which I'm sure made it feel warmer.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 30s, and it was 38° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29741. Yesterday's reading was 29733. Consumption was 8 kWh.

Friday, February 5, 2016

February 5, 2016

The temperature was in the mid–50s yesterday, it was sunny, and it wasn't as windy. Still felt a bit cool, although as I observed the other day, it is seasonable. We're just accustomed to milder temperatures this winter.

Last night's low was expected to be 34°. It was 37° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29733. Yesterday's reading was 29717. Consumption was 16 kWh.

Thursday, February 4, 2016

February 4, 2016

Yesterday was much colder than it has been. That made it seasonable, I guess, which usually doesn't feel so cold by now mainly because we're accustomed to it. But we have grown accustomed to temperatures in the 70s — so when it dropped into the upper 40s, it was a bit of a shock.

It was much colder last night, too. Forecasters said we would be around freezing, and we were, if not below freezing at some point. It was 32° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29717. Yesterday's reading was between 29698 and 29699. Consumption was 18½ kWh.

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

February 3, 2016

Forecasters told us the warm spell would come to an end by the middle of this week, and they were right. The temperature was in the mid–60s yesterday, but 50s are expected for the rest of the week.

It was colder last night than it has been for the last several nights, but apparently it wasn't quite as cold as expected. Forecasters said the temperature would be in the mid–30s; it was 38° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is between 29698 and 29699. Yesterday's reading was 29687. Consumption was 11½ kWh.

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

February 2, 2016

Yesterday was, apparently, another warm day. I was in the office most of the day, but the radio reported a temperature of 71° when I left the office so I figure it probably was warm during the afternoon.

Forecasts said last night's low was going to be 50°. It was 55° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29687. Yesterday's reading was 29681. My consumption was 6 kWh.

February 1, 2016

Yesterday was another sunny and mild, albeit windy, day. The temperature was in the 70s.

Last night's low was expected to be in the 40s, and it was 45° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 29681. Yesterday's reading was 29671. My consumption was 10 kWh.
