Yesterday was much colder than it has been. That made it seasonable, I guess, which usually doesn't feel so cold by now mainly because we're accustomed to it. But we have grown accustomed to temperatures in the 70s — so when it dropped into the upper 40s, it was a bit of a shock.
It was much colder last night, too. Forecasters said we would be around freezing, and we were, if not below freezing at some point. It was 32° when I woke up.
This morning's meter reading is 29717. Yesterday's reading was between 29698 and 29699. Consumption was 18½ kWh.
