October 11, 2014

The temperature got into the 90s yesterday, but there was always the promise of the cool front that was supposed to move in overnight.

The cool front arrived, and it did bring rain, as expected — but the rain wasn't as heavy as I was led to believe, and it stopped earlier than I thought it would. When I got up this morning, it wasn't raining, and a glance at the street outside indicated that it hadn't been raining for at least a couple of hours.

Last night's low was supposed to be around 60°. It was 59° when I got up.

This morning's meter reading is between 18834 and 18835. Yesterday's reading appeared to be between 18821 and 18822. My consumption in the last 24 hours was 13 kWh. That is 16% lower than the previous 24 hours, but it is nearly double my consumption on this date a year ago.
