July 23, 2015

Yes, there is a clear pattern to the weather these days.

It was cloudy again yesterday morning, and the temperatures remained in the 80s — until around noon, when the clouds parted and the temperatures rose into the upper 90s. And, with the humidity, the heat index cracked triple digits again.

The forecasters keep telling us we will have triple–digit actual temperatures soon, and I am sure they are right about that. In all the summers I have spent here, I have yet to see one in which a reading of 100° or higher did not happen at least once. If we don't get one in the last full week of July, I am certain we will get one in August.

Last night's low was expected to be in the upper 70s. It was 81° when I woke up.

This morning's meter reading is 25612. Yesterday's reading was between 25564 and 25565. My consumption was 47½ kWh.
