The sun wasn't coy yesterday. We had some cloud cover in the morning, but, before noon, the skies had cleared, and the temperature was 88° (heat index of 92°).
It alternated between sunny and overcast through the afternoon. By 1 p.m., the temperature was 91° (heat index 94°). Two hours later, it was 93° (heat index 98°). By that time, the temperature had already exceeded the forecast high.
Last night's low was supposed to be 75°. It was 77° when I got up.
This morning's meter reading is 16482. Yesterday's reading was 16457. Consequently, my consumption was 25 kWh. That is about 14% higher than the previous 24 hours, and it is nearly 39% higher than my consumption on this date last year.
