March 11, 2014

Yesterday was sunny and warm, and we reached the forecast high of 77° by 4 p.m.

The low was expected to be 54°. Since that was probably achieved (or not) in the wee small hours of the morning, I can only swear to what the temperature was when I got up this morning (59°).

Our wildly fluctuating temperatures will continue this week, it seems. Today's high is expected to be 82°, then tomorrow's high is expected to be 57°. After that, forecasters say, it will settle into a more consistent pattern of highs in the 60s through next Monday.

This morning's meter reading is between 15509 and 15510. Yesterday's reading was between 15500 and 15501, which means my consumption in the last 24 hours was 9 kWh. That is a drop of about 67% compared to the previous 24 hours, but it is 50% higher than my consumption on this date last year.
